After the success of first edition of Oman Mineral & Mining Exhibition & Conference, we are glad to inform you that the next edition of the event will take place from 16-18 January 2017. This edition of the event will take place in the new convention center. The event is being held in partnership with Public Authority of Mining – local government regulator. Oman Mining Exhibition & Conference is the biggest and only government endorsed exhibition cum conference in Oman and is organized in partnership with the Public Authority for Mining (PAM) and supported by Mining Development Oman. Oman’s government is currently reviewing a draft law prepared by the Public Authority for Mining (PAM) – the sector’s regulatory agency – that will see a major revamp of the sultanate’s mining regulations. The legislation includes local content requirements, incentives for investment and provisions for longer-term licenses, all seen as crucial to attracting private participation in the sector.
